What is Psychotherapy?

Psychotherapy is about helping people explore and understand aspects of themselves and their experiences, and looking at a much broader range of issues. It encompasses many types of treatment and uses a variety of strategies.

Even though it is often known as ‘talk therapy’, with my sessions, it’s more than simply just talking. I almost always provide holistic healing, which is defined as a form of natural healing that looks at the whole person: body, mind, and spirit.

Where will the sessions be taken place?

Sessions can take place in two ways: Virtual or In-person. Virtual sessions may take place via platforms such as zoom, google hangouts, or telephone while In-person therapy will usually be conducted at A Space Between, 10 Anson Road, International Plaza, #28-14, Singapore 079903. You'll love A Space Between because their rooms have a thoughtful combination of comfort, style, and luxury.

Do I need to go into a session with a specific problem I want to fix?

Not at all. Although it is true that there are people who may seek therapy to address specific issues like depression or anger, sometimes, you may be going through a life transition simply need someone to talk to and help with cope with the change. Other times, what we may need at the moment is someone to provide you a safe space to just vent.

How many sessions will I need?

The number of sessions a person needs to experience meaningful change will depend on their issues and goals.

For psychotherapy, you may start to experience changes from our third to five sessions onwards. Typically, appointments are held on a weekly, bi-weekly or even monthly basis. We will be discussing your appointment schedule together, and if you have committed to a block of sessions, the benefits of counselling are best realized by attending on a regular basis for sustainable change.

How do I know if we will make a great team?

It's difficult to predict before we've had a few sessions. Finding the right therapist for you is important, and, you can learn more about me, my story, and my values here.

Always remember that you can openly communicate your feelings to your therapist. I’ve supported people from all walks of life learn how to simplify the chaos in our minds through helping to shine light on manifestations of mental or emotional turmoil.

What's the payments and cancellation policy?

Payment of session(s) should be made online within 48 hours upon receiving confirmation of the booking of session via text. Payments can be made by PayNow or via bank transfer.

I understand that plans change, or unpredictable events may arise at any given moment, and I will be happy to reschedule your appointment when needed. However, kindly notify me at least 48 hours before any cancellation and rescheduling of appointments to prevent being charged for missing an appointment without reasonable notice.

Flower Remedies

The Bach Flower Remedies is discovered by Dr Edward Bach, a respected physician, homeopath and bacteriologist in the 1930’s. Dr Bach believed that the ultimate cause of disease was a lack of inner harmony, and that by resolving this disharmony, health would naturally return.

Hypnotherapy is a therapeutic modality in which hypnosis is used to try to treat conditions or change habits through shining light on our unconscious.

It aims to achieve a heightened sense of awareness through guided relaxation, intense concentration, and focused attention, which is sometimes called a trance. At this point, the person's attention is so focused that she or he is temporarily blocked from anything going on around her.

There is no such thing as being hypnotized against your will, despite popular belief. And the goal of hypnotherapy is to simply induce a relaxed, suggestible state of mind, in order to experience detached external attention and to focus on inner experiences.

Hypnotherapy allows people focus on a problem more deeply, and to perceive some things differently, such as blocking an awareness of pain.

Angelic Reiki

Angelic Reiki is a safe, gentle, non-intrusive hands-on healing technique using spiritual energy at angelic frequency channelled through a practitioner into a client during a treatment. Reiki is much more than a physical therapy.

It is a holistic system for balancing, healing and harmonising all aspects of our being — body, mind, emotions and spirit — promoting a sense of wholeness and well-being for both the client and the practitioner.

During a treatment the energy will flow wherever it is needed and can significantly aid the body’s innate healing abilities. Receiving a treatment can be a deeply relaxing experience, balancing and harmonising both body and mind, and giving comfort and peace.

BodyTalk is whole healthcare. It’s about understanding the psychology of the body and the influence it has on your health. In BodyTalk, we look at the whole person.

The physical health, as well as emotional, spiritual and environmental influences. It’s about recognizing and releasing the true cause of dis-ease. The client’s ability to heal themselves is then kick-started into action.

The BodyTalk techniques provide insights to the areas of your body that need attention. What might seem like an obvious problem to you is not necessarily the one your body wants to address first.

BodyTalk respects the body’s own needs and determines your body’s priorities for healing. Then with the use of a variety of non-invasive techniques. I will help refocus your body’s natural healing response to establish better communication within the body.

Inner Child Healing

Within each of us, most of the time unconsciously, is an Inner Child—with all the emotions and vulnerabilities of our younger selves. Learning to tune in to our Inner Child’s, we will begin to value and respect his/her/their existence, offering compassion and empathy for what they experienced.

Healing one’s inner child is a process which requires a gradual unfolding that occurs over time, establishing an ongoing dialogue as we confront old pain and unfulfilled needs that is likely needing attention and healing.

Many times, we face childhood trauma that we unconsciously carry with us till adulthood. This only adds weight to the emotional intensity within ourselves.

When we begin to connect within, and by going slowly, we can become a good parent to our Inner Child, allowing our external relationships to be more meaningful as well.
